For the fourth straight
year, the funky Kia Soul took top honors in the urban category at the 12th
annual Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year held in Chandler, Arizona. Kia’s
fun and functional urban passenger vehicle was again rated the best among other
urban vehicles, mostly due to its neat features and sleek design.
Subtle
Design Changes
The Kia Soul has been
widely renowned for its iconic cube-like design, and it seems that the car
manufacturer opted to retain its eye-catching exterior while adding a few
changes. The 2016 Kia Soul features alloy wheels while retaining the look that
has captivated countless people.
Stunning
New Features
With its optional
Convenience Package, the Soul also packs a 4.3-inch touchscreen, equipped with
SiriusXM, along with a rearview camera. The Plus trim level, on the other hand,
also comes with gloss-black “tusks” on its bumper. Two-toned color combination,
a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, and 18-inch alloy wheels
with black spokes are also available on the optional Designer Collection.
Nothing much has changed
under the hood, as the 2016 Kia Soul is still equipped with a 1.6-liter
four-cylinder engine producing over 130 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of
torque. This, along with the aforementioned features, makes the Soul one of
Kia’s top-selling models. In fact, the vehicle has remained popular among young
buyers looking for a stylish yet versatile ride that allows them to navigate
through crowded areas.
